The book is a different setting(California), theme(spiritual), and style(great dialogue) with a really cool cast of characters(crazy model, evil photographer, Hopi-inspired park ranger?). It is a contemporary mystery that turns into a love story that turns into a mystery again. Wow! What a cool surprise at the end. I may be biased just having read it, but I think LATENT IMAGE is one of Jack Eadon's best books. And I've read all of them now! Wait, I still have to read Gigolo on the Row!
